All timbers and fittings we use to construct mud kitchens are built with timbers and fittings that are safe for outdoor use. And are safe to be used out in the elements.
Just like a cubby house or timber play set, giving the mud kitchen a coat of stain, varnish or paint every 12 months will help with the longevity of the item and will keep it looking fresh for years to come.
We don't add stain, oil or paint to the timbers, we would normally leave them raw so that families can add personal touches to their mud kitchen depending on the design or style of their outdoor play space.
You can now have the warmth of a hard wood mud kitchen at a cheaper cost or add some oil for protection prior to your mud kitchen arriving.
